Back To Work
I haven't been MIA, but on vacation. Let me rephrase that. I was on a much needed vacation. I hadn't been on a vacation for several years and it was a little scary being away from work for almost two weeks. If I factor in the jet lag, my vacation was two and a half weeks. Once I got on the plane, all plans I had to work until the plane landed, quickly faded once we made our connection in San Francisco. I wanted to share about my trip in live time, but decided it was best to wait until after I returned so I could share properly. Although, I had my iPad and iPhone and access to a computer, I challenged myself not to work. I told my mom and a friend, being without my computer for that long was going to be a challenge. I think that's why I put so much pressure on myself to get as much done as possible before leaving. So where did I go? My parents have been wanting to go to Paris ever since I went and came back telling them how amazing it is. For the past five years, we've been talking about taking this trip, but something always interfered. So last we started talking about "the trip" again. But it wasn't until the Summer, that we really committed to the idea. Once we decided to take "the trip", we agreed there would be no frivolous spending and only one gift each for Christmas. At first, it seemed like it was going to be a challenge, but we kept reminding ourselves about "the trip." All of the sacrifice was worth it, because we had an incredible time. I did sneak in a couple of days of work in Paris. My mother and I spent our first two days in Paris at Mode City, the Lingerie Show. It was breathtaking. I'm so excited about the lines that will be coming to The Pink Duchess. After those two days, it was all vacation. I'm excited to share pictures from the show and my vacation with you over the next few posts.
